Clay Target Shooting

On the back of the United Kingdom's success at world shooting events, Clay Target Shooting is one of the United Kingdom's fastest growing sports. A sport that is suitable for people of all ages and either gender. One of my successes was my son who was a safe and very good shot by the time he was thirteen.

CPSA Qualified Club Safety officer

As a CPSA qualified Club Safety Officer I stress and teach safety in gun handling as this is of paramount importance. Once clients have learned how to handle a gun safely, it will stay with them for their shooting career, and make them a relaxing companion to be with on the shooting range. Safety is taught using the CPSA Ten Points of safety.

Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA) qualified instructor

As a Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA) qualified instructor, I teach the CPSA method of shooting, this method has been tried tested and is proven to work. As a point of interest, I took instruction in the 1970's from Clarrie Wilson (an England & G.B. shooter) who was instrumental in developing the CPSA Method along with the CPSA. Prior to starting to shoot on the range a novice will be given a classroom lesson that will include a gun fitting session and identification of master eye. Once on the range the CPSA Method will be used. This is a seven point shooting method that will enable a novice or a slightly more experienced shot to improve their shooting.

Cost

An hour session to include classroom instruction and gun fitting and on range (approximately 25 targets) will be £50.00 an extra person will be £25.00. Follow on lessons that will be predominantly on the range. £30.00 per hour plus cartridges and clays approximately £8.50 for 25.
