Under the “CPSA Academy™” banner, I am able to coach a convenient modular based programme to progress clients from beginner to proficiency in the discipline of their choice.

CPSA Academy Shotgun Skills modules:

Discover Clay target Shooting™ – Module 1
This is the first module of the ‘Shotgun Skills Program’ including a briefing on safety, for both Clay and Game, personal protection equipment, basic gun handling skills and how to hit a moving target.

Shotgun Skills™ – Module 2
Detailed introduction with a theory session covering safety, gun handling, eye dominance, gun fit, mount, stance and the CPSA Method of hitting a moving target.

Learn about types of Shotguns, Cartridges, Chokes, Proof, Shotguns and the Law, Personal civil liability Insurance and Gun Cleaning.

 

Advanced Shotgun Skills™ – Module 3
Learn to shoot “Gun Down” use a variety of methods “Swing Through” “Maintained Lead” “Swing to” and “intercept” to evaluate and understand appropriate use and execution of these various methods of shooting targets.

This module may take several sessions to progress.

Discipline Proficiency™ – Module 4
A progressive and flexible programme to introduce students to all aspects of the chosen discipline from rules to developing skills and techniques to improve scores.

Students can receive recognition of their achievement so once each module is successfully completed you maybe award a CPSA produced badge and/or certificate (depending on the module completed).

Duke of Edinburgh Awards:

Modules 1 and 2 are also suited to candidates who are learning Clay Target Shooting as their Skill for Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme for Bronze, Silver and Gold.
